Meeting Points / Guide Rendezvous: We pick up and drop off from several train stations in Gyeonggi and Gangwon provinces. From Seoul Station, you can expect an average journey by rail of 1.5 to 2 hours + an additional 45 minute to 1.5 hour drive to the creek. Meeting points vary from season to season and week to week. After you've confirmed your booking with a trip deposit or payment, we'll be glad to help you get where you need to go. We're here to help with all of your rail, bus, and driving arrangements. We also offer airport pick-ups from Gimpo International & Incheon International Airports. We can also pick up / drop off from most hotels in Seoul for an addional fee including fuel. Cherry trout streams are best suited to rods in 2wt and 3wt set-ups with floating lines. Rainbow trout rods should be 4wt to 5wt with lines that offer a subtle presentation. Other native trout species are best approached with a 4wt to 5wt set-up. [ Wet Wading ] is possible from May through early September. For all other months, we suggest waist high to chest high waders. [ Wading Boots ] best set with studs on vibram soles. For those who don't want to lug wader boots, we rent Simms & Orvis wading boots for an additional daily fee. [ Fly Lines ] WT-F or DT lines work fine - There is no need for sinking lines. [ Tippets and Leaders ] 4X to 8X on smaller creeks with low water

[ Cherry Trout ] March through early October: Peak months for cherry trout flyfishing are May/ June / Late August through October. Spawning occurs in late October. We don't offer trips after the spawning is underway Manchurian Trout - are a protected species and occasionally caught while fishing in for rainbows. Manchurians must be kept in the water and released immediately. Manchurian trout are most active in late February and March. Spawning occurs in mid to late April through May. Autumn is a productive time for Manchurian trout in late October through early to mid December. Rainbow trout are a year round fish and can be caught in almost any weather. [ Seasonal Notes ] Early Spring tends to be especially dry and windy with rain moving in in late May. July starts the rainy season with good fishing and high water. Late July through the middle of August is extremely hot and humid with most trout inactive but only the coolest parts of the morning. Fall fishing is our opinion offers the very best. Water levels are ideal, insects are active, with fish feeding with wild abandon.

Most of our guests opt to stay in a local inn, campsite, or motel. After you've confirmed your booking with a trip deposit or payment, we'll be glad to connect you with local accomodation options. Let us know in the comments what type of accomodation you're looking for. Expect to pay $30 for campsites, $45 and higher for motels and $80-150 per night for a rented cabin. Guide Availability is based on client demand. That means, the client chooses a date that best fits their schedule. We will do our best to accomodate you and honor your preferred date. If we are fully booked, we will offer you several alternative dates. If you'd prefer we select a date for you, please let us know in the comment box at the bottom of the page.

No cash payments / card or app payments accepted on the day of fishing. Payments must be made in advance of your trip. To protect guides & staff from no-shows, we require 50% of the balance [90 Days] before the start of your trip. If booking with less than 90 days before the start of your trip, the full amount is due on the day of confirmation. We are firm on the payment policies - Thank you for your understanding in advance. Trips are not be confirmed until deposits or payments are made. We operate on a first come, first serve basis with availability preferences given to returning guests. We accept all major credit & debit cards. From 2023, we no longer accept cheques. There is no fee to reschedule your trip should you or your partner become unable to make the trip. Trips are fully refundable up to 90 days before your trip. Partial refunds are available up to 48 hours of your selected start date.
